Professional Design In Your Club Colours

First impressions are all important, a badly designed website can be an instant turn off to visitors and they will immediately click away from your site.

As you can see from the examples, all D9 Club Sites are designed to the highest standards by professional web designers with years of experience behind them. Without wanting to blow our trumpet too much, we don’t think you’ll be able to find any local club site that stands out as much as a D9 Club Sites website!

Each site is unique with your own custom header banner and colour scheme.

 

Each design follows the same basic layout; however that’s where the similarities end. Each website is unique, your website will be designed in your clubs colours (or any colour scheme you like!) with your own custom made header and footer to make your site totally unique.

We understand how difficult it can be to raise funds for local sports clubs, with a normal website, you would need to raise funds each season to keep the site online – Not with D9 Club Sites!

We believe that you can turn your website into a fund raising machine that runs on auto-pilot, no longer do you have to worry about finding funds to keep your website online, you have the opportunity to make the site pay for itself many times over each season.

So how does this work?

Take a look at the image below; you can see that on each page of the example website there is a square advertising banner in the top right hand corner. If someone clicks on this banner and performs an action your club will receive a commission.

So if we use Amazon as an example, every time a website visitor clicks on the Amazon banner and makes a purchase, your club is awarded 5% - 7% commission on the sale. All you need to do is encourage club members, players and fans to click on your banner before they make a purchase at Amazon.

It’s also worth noting that you can promote D9 Club Sites to other clubs in your area, we pay a very generous £35 for each new customer you send us!

Your Own Domain Name

A domain name is one of the most important aspects to any website. You need a good domain name that is easy to remember for your website visitors.

All D9 Club Site websites come with 1 domain name of your choice!

We are able to offer you all domain name extensions from .com to .co.uk and everything in-between!

Extra domain names are also available at a cost of £9.95 per year.

We don’t just sell you the website design and leave you to it. Your D9 Club Sites website comes with everything you need to run the website:

Everything really is plug and play. All you need to do is provide us basic details of your site – name, colour scheme, sections and so on, we then set it all up for you (Including professional header and footer graphics) and when complete, provide you with documentation showing you how to add to, and edit the website – absolutely no PC knowledge required, just an internet connection!

No “Per Page” Charges

Unlike most web designers, we don’t charge you “Per Page”. You pay us a set fee each year, and you can add as many pages to the site as you like and we won’t charge you any extra money! You can either add new pages to the site yourself, it’s dead easy and full details on how to do it are included in the instruction manual, or if you prefer, we can add any new pages for you.

Can Be Managed By Multiple Users

In our opinion this is one of the most important features of our D9 Club Sites package. Your D9 Club Site website supports an unlimited number of editors/users.

Adding a new user/editor takes less than a minute, you can have an unlimited number of users.

 

This means that you don’t have to elect 1 person from your club to run the website.

You could have different people running each section of the website if you wish.

For example, you may have a junior team and a senior team, both with sections on your website. You could then have the manager of the junior team in charge of adding information for the junior team, and you could have the manager of the senior team in charge of adding information for the senior team.

The ability to have multiple users in charge of adding and updating the website with the latest items (News, fixtures, results etc.) helps spread the workload and doesn’t restrict just 1 person to managing the website.

Space For Over 2000 Photos

Your website package comes with 2 GB (2000 MB) of web space. This is enough space to store over 2000 pictures! This is assuming that your images are 1 MB each in size. If your pictures are less than this, then obviously you’ll be able to store more images.

If you do get anywhere close to the 2 GB limit (Nobody has managed it yet!) we can of course provide you with more disk space, please contact us for a quote.

Daily Email Updates

Let’s face it; one of the most annoying things about the internet is checking your local club site every few hours to see if any new fixtures, news or results have been posted.

With a D9 Club Sites website, you can offer free, daily email updates to your website visitors. If there is a new item posted on the website, each person that subscribed to your email updates will receive an email containing details of these updates.

This is a great way of distributing upcoming fixtures to players, notifying them of training sessions and so on.

Email Addresses

Your D9 Club Sites package also comes with up to 100 email forwards included. (More available on request)

What are email forwards?

Email forwards allow you to have a professional address associated with your website, for example:

secretary@yourclub.com
manager@yourclub.com

However, the mail sent to these accounts will get forwarded to an existing email address. This eliminates the need to set up a new email account in your mail client, you just keep answering emails as you always do, but you can now give out a professional looking email address to people!

Just to hammer home how it works, here’s another “real life” example.

Bob manages a local football team. His current email address is: bobsmith@hotmail.com

Bob wants a new email forward to be set up for him: bob.smith@yourclub.com

All mail sent to Bob’s new email address (bob.smith@yourclub.com) will be delivered to his bobsmith@hotmail.com inbox, Bob would then reply to the emails in his hotmail inbox as normal.

Discussion Forums

A discussion forum is a great addition to any D9 Club Sites website; it provides players, staff and members of the public the chance to discuss absolutely anything they want!

A forum post can be used to get feedback on specific aspects of the club, or it can simply be a place for people to come a share their views with others.

As a proud owner of a D9 Club Sites website, you are also able to have your very own section in the D9 Club Sites community sports forum - free of charge!

Discussion forums allow your club members and fans to interact with each other.

 

Automatically Updated History Archive

When speaking with local clubs about what they would like to see in their website, something that kept popping up in conversation was an “archive” page, so website visitors could visit the archives to view fixtures and results from past seasons.

When thinking about what to include in our D9 Club Sites package, we decided to include an archives page, however that’s only the start of it, what makes this archives page so special is that it automatically updates itself without any extra work from you our us.

Each time you add a new item to the site (results, fixtures, news etc.) your site will automatically archive that page for you. The website visitor can then visit the “archive” page and browse all posts by either the month they were posted or the category they were posted in.

Site Search

Included in every D9 Club Sites website is a “site search” bar at the top of the page. This allows website visitors to quickly find what they are looking for.

If for example the visitor was looking for an entry about a particular player or club member, they can do a search for the player and the website will bring back all entries related to that player or club member.

Dynamically Updating Homepage

We all love it when things just work without us having to do anything!

This is how the home page of your website will work. Each time you post a new entry, a brief snippet of that entry will be shown on the home page of your website, with a link to the full story.

You can even choose what categories to include on the home page. As an example, some sites like to include things like the latest news, latest fixtures and latest results on the home page. This gives an overview of all the latest website updates to the visitor as soon as they land on your website.

Everything on your homepage automatically updates when new content is added.

 

Daily Backups

Are you one of those people that are paranoid about breaking things?

With a D9 Club Sites website we’ve got you covered!

In the unlikely event that you break your site beyond repair (It’s very unlikely!) we have backups on hand that we can restore for you. Backups are run automatically each day by our server and are stored in a secure data centre in Atlanta, USA.

Easy Table Integration

We know how important league tables are to local clubs – especially if your team is at the top!

Your D9 Club Sites website comes with “Easy Table Integration”. This allows you to either:

Import a table from a spreadsheet (MS Excel)

Or

Manually create the table in your website control panel

The import option is great if you have a large table already created in MS Excel, your website can import the data from the spreadsheet and transform it into a table that you can insert into your website entries.

The manual method is ideal for producing quick tables “on the fly”. Simply tell the website how many rows and columns the table should have, enter the data and click on the “Create” button, the table will then be created and will be ready to insert on your site!
